François Ameli is a doctor of law at the University of Paris I (Panthéon - Sorbonne). He holds a post-graduate degree in international law (1984) and private law (1985), both earned by the University of Paris II (Panthéon - Assas). Having taught at the University of Paris I, he joined two law firms at the French Council of State and the French Supreme Court Appeals, before setting up his own practice in 1994. 

He specializes in Business Law and International Commerce Law. He has published several textbooks and articles in the field of Civil Law, International Law, and International Labor Law and represents multinational companies and SMEs in contractual negotiations and international litigation. At the same time, he is pursuing his university career as a professor at the University of Paris I (Panthéon - Sorbonne).
